Cryptocurrency exchange Meldram.com offered traders in the EU access to tokenized shares of American companies. Michael Saylor's Strategy papers became the first blockchain product.
MSTRS are presented in the form of ERC-20 tokens issued on the second-level Ethereum network of the Arbitrum.
According to the statement, in the coming days the offer will expand to include shares of exchange-traded funds and other instruments.
The management of the crypto exchange noted the key advantages of tokenized products:
- the possibility of fractional ownership;
- virtually instant round-the-clock payments on a single platform;
- expanded access to the highly liquid American market.
The exchange has implemented the initiative in partnership with the Binance tokenization platform.
The service offers so-called dShares exclusively to users outside the United States. However, during the Permissionless conference, Anna Wroblewska, the company's business director, confirmed to Blockworks that the Binance Securities subsidiary had received FINRA approval for broker-dealer activities in the United States.
The company plans to enter the country's market in the first quarter of 2026.
